Join us for a special press screening of Stephen Desmond's documentary, 'The Jaweed Al Ghussein Story', at The Foreign Press Association (FPA).
Commemorating the one-year anniversary of Al Ghussein's death, the film tells the story of how Palestinian patriot and political moderate Jaweed Al Ghussein (Chairman of The Palestinian National Fund) was falsely accused by Yasser Arafat of embezzling $6 million from The Palestinian National Fund, abducted, held under house arrest in Gaza and subjected to a systematic smear campaign.
The film focuses on Al-Ghussein's abduction, positioning the incident within a wider discussion of Human Rights abuse in the Middle East.
The FPA's Hosny Emam, William Morris (Secretary General of The Next Century Foundation), Canon Andrew White (Archbishop of Baghdad and former envoy to the Middle East for the Archbishop of Canterbury) and Crown Prince Shwebomin of Burma (Chief Patron of The Philip Green Memorial Trust) will introduce the film.
