The Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) of England is an internationally renowned professional body committed to maintaining the highest standards of surgical practice and patient care. It supports surgeons across the world in all stages of their careers with education, training and advice. The RCS also works as an advisory body to the Department of Health, health authorities, NHS Trusts, hospitals and other professional bodies.
FPA journalists are invited to the College to explore:
• The College’s priorities and policies as per its election manifesto, in a briefing by President, John Black.
•The history and heritage behind the College with a tour of the Library and Hunterian Museum
• World leading state-of-the art clinical facilities where surgeons train and practice their skills
The briefing with John Black is on the record. The College allows filming and photography in certain areas but requests would need to be cleared prior to the press visit.
